$35M to connect brands with one new customer: Superintelligence

We see a clear future where every company on the planet needs to understand and control how AI interprets, talks about, and eventually uses their products. Profound will be the platform teams rely on to connect with one new customer, Superintelligence.

Marketing to AI is an exciting new problem space that is rapidly becoming a boardroom concern for large enterprises. Even last week, Profound was referenced by the CEO of Reddit during their Q2 earnings call. Eventually, it seems obvious that thousands of businesses of all sizes will rely on Profound to create marketing aimed at superintelligence instead of humans.

To fuel this vision, we are delighted to announce a $35M Series B investment led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Kleiner Perkins, Khosla Ventures, Saga VC, and South Park Commons.

Marketing platforms of the past were read-only. Profound is read/write: a control center that goes beyond insights to create AI-optimized content in one click.

Under the hood, our engineers utilize the state of the art reasoning models to leverage billions of unique signals flowing through our database. The goal is simple and hard at once: build the best technology for this new era of marketing.

This vision presents some insanely ambitious engineering problems which will require the best team and infrastructure to navigate - which is predominantly where our Series B will be spent.

“In NYC, top engineers are too often funneled into fintech or hedge funds. Profound is offering a different path – building a world-class engineering team in the heart of Manhattan working on a problem that is both fun and challenging.” - Dylan Babbs, Co-Founder CTO

We are excited to build a generational business with an incredible team, customers and investors by our side. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our story so far. We have a lot of work ahead, and we take nothing for granted.
