As an AEO Specialist, you’ll help clients optimize their presence across AI-driven discovery platforms by analyzing prompts, identifying opportunities, and driving visibility through data-backed insights and technical audits.

What You’ll Do

Execution & Analysis

  • Conduct prompt and theme analysis, AI content landscape mapping, and support LLM visibility audits.
  • Carry out AEO technical audits to assess site structure, content accessibility, and optimization opportunities for generative engines.
  • Monitor and report on AI-driven search trends, citation patterns, and competitor visibility across discovery platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot).
  • Build and maintain trackers, dashboards, and internal documentation to support AEO projects across Fortune 500 and enterprise customers.

Client & Team Support

  • Prepare materials and insights for client POVs, presentations, and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with SEO/AEO, Content, and Analytics teams to integrate AEO insights into broader programs.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing and training sessions to expand AEO and GEO expertise across teams.

Who You Are

  • 1–2 years of experience in SEO, search strategy, or related digital performance roles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in keyword research and on-page optimization (title tags, meta descriptions, internal linking).
  • Foundational technical SEO knowledge (site audits, crawling/indexing, schema, page speed basics).
  • Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., GSC, SEMrush, BrightEdge) and curiosity about AI search platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot).
  • Eagerness to learn how large language models discover and prioritize content — and apply those insights to client work.

Location

This is an on-site role based in our Union Square office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $100,000 – $130,000. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process.
