SE Ranking has been a well-known name in the SEO world. The same team has come together to aid your AEO efforts via SE Visible—an AI visibility tool to help you understand your brand visibility and perception in LLMs.
I tested the tool to see how it fares compared to other AI visibility tools, especially specialized ones like Profound.
Summary: SE Visible is a good starting point, not a long-term AEO solution
SE Visible is a solid entry point for teams that want a clean, affordable way to start monitoring their brand’s AI visibility. The tool is perfect for teams already using SE Ranking for SEO who want to dip their toes into AI visibility. It’s clean, affordable, and easy to use right out of the box.
But if you need deep AI visibility data to inform a serious AEO strategy, SE Visible doesn’t go far enough—limited LLM coverage, sparse data, and no optimization features make it hard to scale with.
Here’s a quick summary of the pros and cons of SE Visible:
SE Visible: What I like
I spent some time testing SE Visible across a few use cases. Let’s start with what works well.
SE Visible pairs perfectly with SE Ranking
If you were already using SE Ranking for your SEO efforts, SE Visible bolts right on at an additional $89/month. This is pretty neat if you’re just starting your AEO efforts after investing in SEO for years and don’t want to invest too much into a brand new tool.

That said, SE Visible is still quite sparse compared to other dedicated GEO tools in the market (like Profound). It can get the job done right when you’re beginning your AEO strategy, but you’ll outgrow it quickly.
Key takeaway: If SEO is your main strategy and you want just basic checks into your LLM visibility, SE Visible will be a good choice.
The tool is super easy to use
SE Visible is one of those tools where you can sign up and hit the ground running. The interface is intuitive, the data is pretty self-explanatory, and you can navigate between the various features easily.
For example, I wanted to find out the top Reddit pages where my brand is not mentioned. All I had to do was go to “Sources” and apply the “Community” filter. It took less than ten seconds.

Similarly, I could also effortlessly find the analysis for my brand’s visibility, sentiment, and prompt position.

Part of the reason SE Visible is so easy to use, though, is because there’s not a lot of data or complex features. It’s built for brands that are looking for a basic insight into their AI visibility, not for companies that are serious about investing and improving it. Once you’re at that stage, you’ll likely need another tool to surface deeper insights.
Key takeaway: SE Visible is intuitive and easy to use. You can sign up for a free trial without sharing any credit card info or sitting through a demo. But there aren’t enough features to scale your AEO strategy.
The pricing and access features are perfect for small agencies
SE Visible allows you to add unlimited users and share access with anyone without any permission restrictions. The lowest tier plan ($99/month) allows adding three brands to your account.

These combined make SE Visible very, very friendly for small agencies offering AEO services to their clients. And unlimited users at that price point is a rarity in the GEO market.
The tool is also working to provide more granular control over what permissions you provide to each user, which will be even more beneficial to agencies looking to:
- Provide clients with client-facing dashboard access
- Share access with freelancers without giving them full control
Key takeaway: SE Visible’s pricing and features make it a perfect fit for small agencies. You can add unlimited users and three brands in your lowest tier plan.
SE Visible: What needs improvement
So SE Visible has a clean interface, a low barrier to entry, and solid agency-friendly pricing. But the deeper I dug, the more I ran into limitations that would hold back any team trying to take AEO seriously.
Limited LLM, regional, and language coverage
SE Visible tracks your AI visibility in only four LLMs in all its plans: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Perplexity. This is a significant limitation, especially for brands whose ICP uses multiple LLMs (or simply a different AI tool).
Profound, in comparison, tracks your AI visibility in 10 answer engines in the highest tier plans, including:
- ChatGPT
- Perplexity
- Google AI mode
- Google AI overviews
- Gemini
- Microsoft Copilot
- Meta AI
- DeepSeek
- Claude
- Grok
Similarly, SE Visible tracks your visibility in only seven locations: the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain. Profound tracks your AI visibility across the world, which is essential for international brands.
Lastly, SE Visible is also limited in the language department, providing data only for English, French, German, Dutch, and Spanish. The lack of local insights will be a dealbreaker for global brands and agencies working with companies across the world. In comparison, Profound has an ever-growing database of 100 languages.
These limitations might not be a big deal if you’re a small brand experimenting with AEO. But you’ll wear out the tool quickly as you scale and succeed. SE Visible might add more LLMs, languages, and regions in the future, sure, but:
- Your customers across the world are using various languages and answer engines to make purchase decisions right now
- Switching from one AI visibility tool to another takes time and resources away from work you could’ve been doing to improve your AI visibility
It’s better to invest in tools that can scale with you right from the beginning, even if you are just kickstarting your AEO strategy right now.
Key takeaway: SE Visible offers limited coverage across LLMs, locations, and languages. It’s not clear if/when SE Visible will expand its database. Specialized GEO tools like Profound already provide global coverage and a wide variety of answer engines to track.
It’s all data, no action
SE Visible is an AI visibility tracking tool, through and through. You don’t get any insight into how you can improve your visibility score, what you can do to forge ahead of competitors, or generate/refresh content that can help you scale your AEO efforts.
This would be fine if it wasn’t for other competing AI visibility tools (like Profound) that provide much more than tracking (and at a competitive price). For example, on Profound, you can optimize your existing content or create net new content to improve AI visibility.

With agents, you can create autonomous, multi-step systems that handle the full AEO workflow from research to content generation to publishing without you lifting a finger.
You even get a dedicated “Opportunities” tab to identify the exact actions you can take to improve your AI visibility—like being more active on Reddit or asking for a mention in a frequently cited article.

In the Profound enterprise plan, you can even run agents at scale to implement AEO tweaks across your site—like adding FAQs, bulk content refreshes, weekly AEO reports, etc.

Even if you don’t need all of this right now, as you keep improving your AI visibility, you’ll need to implement many changes across your site at scale. And the wild west of AI visibility also means you can’t derive insights from data alone, you need your tool to also nudge you in the right direction.
Key takeaway: SE Visible is only an AI visibility tracking tool. It can’t help you extract insights from the data it provides or surface the easiest opportunities to improve your AI presence.
The data itself is not enough either
SE Visible is primarily a monitoring tool for AI visibility. And yet, the data it provides is sparse, especially compared to dedicated GEO tools like Profound. For instance, you can’t:
- See the prompt volume/popularity for a query related to your brand
- Monitor which AI crawlers are visiting your site and what content they’re analyzing
- Uncover in-depth sentiment analysis to find which features your brand is known for (and which features are a friction point)
Plus, the data SE Visible refreshes every seven days—not enough given how fast things move in answer engines.
Other GEO tools in the market—like Profound—dive much deeper into your data to show you:
- How AI crawlers are viewing your site
- See how your brand is faring in ChatGPT Shopping
- Analyze prompt volumes for keywords/phrases in your niche
- Dive deep into your brand sentiment and dissect which features are loved and what you could improve
- Create personas for your various ICPs and segment AI visibility data based on those personas
- View how AI engines decompose a user’s prompt into multiple sub-queries before generating an answer using query fanouts
- …And much more

Key takeaway: SE Visible doesn’t share enough data with you to make AI visibility tracking and AEO strategy implementation a breeze. It’s possible you’ll have a lot of blind spots because you didn’t have enough in-depth metrics to truly understand brand sentiment in answer engines.
Is SE Visible the right choice for you?
SE Visible is the right choice if you:
- Already use SE Ranking for SEO and want to add AI visibility without switching platforms
- Are a small team or agency just starting to explore AEO and want a low-risk entry point
- Need a quick pulse check on how your brand shows up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Mode
- Want a simple, transparent pricing structure with unlimited users
But SE Visible is likely going to be insufficient if you:
- Plan to invest in AI visibility for the long haul
- Need to track your brand across more than four LLMs—like Claude, Copilot, Meta AI, or Grok
- Want prompt volume data to understand which AI queries actually matter for your brand
- Need actionable recommendations and content workflows, not just dashboards
- Require daily data refreshes to keep up with how fast answer engines change
- Are a global brand that needs regional and language coverage beyond Western Europe and North America
If you need deep, actionable analytics about your AI visibility—with broad LLM coverage, prompt volume data, granular sentiment analysis, agent analytics, and content creation workflows to act on what you find—Profound is purpose-built for that.
