The Profound Black Friday Deals Index is the first publicly available AI visibility ranking built for Black Friday. It measures how often and where brands and products appear in answer engines like ChatGPT, and it visualizes the top retail categories. It starts with real user prompts from Prompt Volumes to identify the retail categories with the high Black Friday search volume. For each category, we synthetically generate 50 unbranded Black Friday related prompts. Half reflect broad shopping intent, such as “Where do I get the best Black Friday deals on laptops?” and half include price or feature constraints, like “Where do I get Black Friday deals on laptops under 500 dollars?”
