What Benchmarking enables

Benchmarking allows you to compare your AI citation performance against 100,000+ pages tracked across the Profound Network and updated weekly. Every page is placed into one of four tiers: Poor, Fair, Good, or Great based on where it falls in the percentile distribution.

Benchmarking lives as three connected views, each built to answer a specific question about how your site stacks up.

Citation Health Overview. A gauge that shows your site's overall tier at a glance, with the target zone (P90 to P100) always in view so you know what you're aiming for.

Page Distribution. A panel view that shows what fraction of your pages land in each tier, making it immediately clear where your gaps are and how concentrated your performance is at the top or bottom of the distribution.

Per-page percentile view. Click into any cited page to see a histogram showing exactly where it sits in the network distribution, so you can prioritize content improvements based on real competitive context rather than guesswork.

How we protect your data

Benchmarking is built on anonymized data throughout. Individual site identities are never exposed. All comparisons are made against aggregated, de-identified benchmarks across the Profound Network. To further protect participant privacy, any bucket or tier segment containing fewer than 20 sites is never surfaced in the product. You get meaningful competitive context without any of your peers' data being identifiable.
