Most marketing work resists automation by nature.
Take something as simple as a weekly visibility report. Pulling the numbers is mechanical. Deciding which movement is worth flagging and which is noise is not. Same with the competitor check: collecting the posts is trivial, judging whether any of them should change your content plan is the actual job. That one decision in the middle is why work that looks perfectly repeatable still lands on a person every week.
Today we’re launching a new way to build Agents in Profound that work how marketers do. Describe the job to your AI Marketer (Aim), give it the tools it needs, and it takes care of the rest. No node building, no rigid logic. Agents reason through judgement calls using your brand and personal context, so that the human-in-the-loop is a choice, not a blcoker.

Brief Agents like teammates
The previous Agents, now called Workflows, asked you to encode every step, branch, and error case as nodes. When anything unexpected happened, the Agent failed.
Now, building an Agent is a conversation. Describe what you want and connect the right tools, and Aim drafts the whole thing in plain English. From there, you edit it, test it, and share it with your team, all from a single page.
Key features of the new Agents
Agents now run on dynamic triggers. Run an Agent on a schedule, or when something happens: your visibility on ChatGPT drops more than 10%, a new page becomes a top cited source, a competitor publishes a post, or a message lands in a Slack channel.
Agents are now powered by your AI Marketer. Every Agent starts with everything Aim already knows: your brand and competitors from Context Manager, a built-in set of marketing skills, and Profound's proprietary AEO research. If Aim identifies repeatable work worth doing, it can proactively suggest and orchestrate Agents.
Agents now use your tools flexibly. Give an Agent access to Profound data, Slack, Gmail, Google Drive, and the rest of your tool stack. Tools are connectors (MCPs), and if we don't support a tool you use, you can add it as a custom MCP from the Integrations page.

What teams are building with Agents in Profound
- Weekly AI visibility report. Every Monday, pull the week's visibility, citations, and sentiment, write the brief, and post it to Slack.
- Competitor pulse. Watch a set of competitors for new posts, compare them to your coverage, and recommend what to write next.
- Accuracy and sentiment alerts. When engines are describing your brand with inaccurate or negative claims, investigate the cause, share the finding, and prescribe steps for remediation.
- Agency client reporting. One Agent run per client with their category as an input, so the same analysis lands monthly for every account.
The quick test: if you'd ask it in a conversation, use Aim. If you'd assign it as a job, make it an Agent.
Workflows remain as an tool in your arsenal
Workflows live inside the Agents page and keep running exactly as they do today. When you're ready, click ‘Migrate’ and Aim converts one into an Agent, leaving the original untouched. Test it after migration, since an Agent reasons rather than follows nodes. And if a step must run the same way every time, use a Workflow as a tool inside an Agent.
